Volunteering Opportunities
We want to improve natural habitats for wildlife, with your help.
We are a small charity with one part time member of staff, so volunteers play a very important role, enabling us to achieve our goals.
Please see our diary of events and contact us if you are interested. Whatever your age and level of fitness, we would like to see you. We meet at Home Farm, in the middle of the estate, where we have a composting toilet and a barn for storing our tools and kit.
What to expect – we provide drinks and snacks and a convivial atmosphere where you can get to know new people who share an interest in helping wildlife. We do not expect volunteers to stay for the whole of our sessions, people are free to come and go and to take a rest when they need one. We always have a First Aider on hand and provide a Health & Safety briefing.
“I am new to the area and have really enjoyed getting to know people at the Charity’s weekend sessions. Gravetye’s woods are a lovely place to unwind and to enjoy nature. Seeing a kingfisher was the icing on the cake when we were planting bulbs near Lower Lake”.
