We were thrilled to receive an offer of help from the school gardening club with our bulb planting scheme in the woody dell and paths at the head of lower lake.
A group of 10 students were accompanied by two members of staff and what was clear upon their arrival was their passion and enthusiasm for the great outdoors!
With only a couple of hours to spare from their busy timetables, the young adults threw themselves at the task and some 100+ bulbs were planted – like us, they can’t wait to see the results next spring.
Most of the group had not visited the estate before so it was our pleasure to show them around lower lake and highlight all the points of interest and biodiversity projects.
From the smiles and laughter, it was evident that the students enjoyed themselves and we know they are keen to return and help with other environmental projects. We look forward to welcoming them again soon.
